NEW YORK, N.Y. – Released on Tuesday morning,
Ciara Collins has been named the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Women's Division II–III Player of the Week, recognizing her outstanding performances during the week of January 12-18.
The weekly honor is notable for its broad reach, drawing from 49 metropolitan-area institutions across NCAA Divisions II and III. It marks the first MBWA weekly award of Collins' career, adding another accolade to an impressive senior campaign.
Collins delivered a dominant week for the Setters, averaging 25.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists in Northeast 10 Conference play. She was also recognized as the Northeast 10 Conference Player of the Week, highlighting her impact at both the conference and regional levels.
She opened the stretch with a milestone performance in a 62–51 road win at Adelphi, finishing with 28 points and 11 rebounds while adding three steals. The effort moved Collins past the 1,000-career-point mark, making her the 31st player in program history to reach the milestone.
Collins followed with another strong all-around showing at home against Saint Michael's, recording 23 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
On the season, Collins leads Pace in scoring at 16.4 points per game, ranks third in the Northeast 10, and co-leads the Setters in rebounding (6.6 per game) and total steals (24). Her consistent production continues to position her among the top performers in the region as conference play moves forward.
