PLEASANTVILLE, NY – On Monday morning, the Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2025 spring season, with the conference honoring 109 individuals for their excellence as student-athletes. Out of the 109 honored, eight were members of Pace University's fall sports teams.
To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:
- Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
- Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.
Men's Lacrosse:
Daniel Zabbia (Dix Hills, N.Y./Half Hollow Hills West) Senior, Attack
- 3.89 GPA (Finance Major)
- USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention/USILA Third Team All-American/USILA First Team All-Region/2025 DI/II USILA Senior All-Star/First Team All-NE10
- Led the team this season with 44 points on 35 goals and nine assists through 15 games played. He recorded three game winners with 25 ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Trevor Lamoureux (Miller Place, N.Y./Rocky Point) Junior, Midfield
- 3.94 GPA (Finance Major)
- Appeared in all 16 games this season with six goals and three assists for nine points. The junior also recorded 15 ground balls with two caused turnovers.
Women's Lacrosse
Annie Sheehan (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham Wading River) Sophomore, Attack/Midfield
- 3.94 GPA (Health Science Major)
- ELITE 24 Award Recipient/USA Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention/IWLCA First Team All-Region/IWLCA Second Team All-American/First Team All-NE10
- Sat third on the team with 62 points on 40 goals and 22 assists. She was also a dominant presence on the defensive end with 21 caused turnovers, 32 ground balls, and 33 draw controls.
Colleen Gilligan (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) Sophomore, Midfield
- 3.89 GPA (4.0 Spring GPA/Biology Major)
- IWLCA Third Team All-American/IWLCA First Team All-Region/First Team All-NE10
- Finished second on the team with 27 caused turnovers while tallying 43 ground balls.
Softball
Gisselle Garcia (Lemon Grove, C.A./Mater Dei Catholic) Senior, Pitcher
- 3.73 GPA (Criminal Justice Major)
- First ever All-American in Pace Softball history (D2CCA/NFCA First Team), D2CCA East Region Pitcher of the Year, NE10 Pitcher of the Year, CSC Academic All-American/All-District/D2CCA First Team All-Region/First Team All-NE10.
- Posted a .073 ERA through 46 appearances this season and recorded a 30-6 win/loss record with six saves. Became the first NE10 pitcher to record 1,000+ career strikeouts and broke the all-time career softball records of ERA, WHIP, Innings Pitched, Wins, Complete Games, Shutouts, Strikeouts, Strikeouts per 7 Inn., Hits per 7 Inn., and No-Hitters. Finished 2025 with 400 strikeouts in 257.1 IP and 21 shutouts.
Alexa Borino (Lyndhurst, N.J./Lyndhurst) Senior, Outfield
- 3.85 GPA (Criminal Justice Major)
- CSC Academic All-District.
- Finished the year with a .282 batting average (49-174) and recorded 41 runs, 12 RBI, eight doubles, three triples, and two home runs. She led the team with 11 stolen bases out of 13 attempts.
Brianna Shea (Oceanside, C.A./El Camino) Senior, Third Base
- 3.85 GPA (4.0 Spring GPA/Applied Psychology and Human Relations Major)
- SAAC President/D2CCA Second Team All-Region/NFCA Second Team All-Region/Second Team All-NE10/CSC Academic All-District.
- Became the all-time program leader in RBI with a career total of 120. Batted .293 (49-167) at the plate with 33 RBI, 32 runs, six doubles, three triples, and two home runs.
Baseball
Matthew Franco (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Ward Melville) Senior, Outfield
- 3.93 GPA (Business Economics Major)
- ELITE 24 NE10 Recipient/CSC Academic All-District
- Batted .251 (42-167) with 28 runs, 18 RBI, eight doubles, and two home runs.
