PLEASANTVILLE, NY - In a rematch of last year's NE10 Championship event, the top seed Setters match up once again with the two seed Adelphi University Panthers in Northwell Stadium Saturday afternoon.
After a competitive contest, the Setters were upset by the Panthers, 14-13, after a toppling third quarter when Adelphi tallied four goals and Pace caged two.
Here's What Happened:
	- With the score featuring its first tie of the day at one, the Panthers rallied for the 6-1 advantage midway through the opening quarter. Mackenzie Carita and Lisa Heffernan consecutively posted goals for the Blue and Gold to chip away at the opposer lead as the hosts trailed by 2, 6-4.
 
	- The second stanza was all Pace where they outscored Adelphi 4-1 to hold a 8-7 advantage at the half. Despite the Setters surrendering another goal to start the quarter, Maddie Schubert, Mary Kate Nawrocki, Abigail O'Connor and Carita found the back of the net and held their opponent scoreless for the one goal lead with one half remaining in the day.
 
	- By the third quarter, there were three draws and three lead changes with Adelphi holding the 11-10 lead by the end of the quarter.
 
	- Carita kept the Setters offense going with another goal to sit within one in the fourth, 12-11. The Panthers continued to rally back-to-back goals, 14-11, and were able to fend off the hosts despite their efforts for the 14-13 defeat.
 
Box Score Insights:
	- Carita led the team with five points on four goals and one assist while Schubert had four points on three goals and one assist.
 
	- Nikki Mottes tallied her points with four helpers.
 
	- Sasha Kulo controlled 11 draws and Sarah Scheidel recorded six caused turnovers along with six ground balls and five draws.
