Pace Athletics Weekly Preview I May 19

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – As the spring season continues to wind down, Pace Athletics has one team in action as softball competes in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship. With opening game action set for Thursday evening, the Setters look to make a statement on the diamond in Chattanooga, TN.

#6 Softball (46-11) vs #3 Central Oklahoma (51-9) Thursday 6:30 p.m. – May 22
Coming off their East Regional title, the Setters now head down south to Chattanooga, TN. For the NCAA Division II Softball Championship at Frost Stadium. With only eight teams in the country remaining, the Blue and Gold represent the tournament as the sixth-seed and will take on the third-seeded Broncos of the University of Central Oklahoma. The match-up marks the first time the Setters and Broncos meet on the diamond. Led by head coach Claudia Stabile, Pace is making its first appearance in the DII Softball Championship, as the Setters will look to make their presence known this coming Thursday. The first pitch of the opening game is set for 6:30 p.m. at Frost Stadium. For more information on the tournament, click here.
