Baseball Drops Back-to-Back Versus Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H. – On Monday afternoon, Pace baseball met with the Ravens of Franklin Pierce University for a Northeast-10 (NE10) Conference double-bill match-up. In the doubleheader, the Setters dropped both games, falling in game one 10-3 and game two, 5-2.

Following Monday's action, the Setters now hold a 17-16 overall record and an 8-9 record inside the conference.

Here's What Happened
  • In game one, the Ravens offense highlighted the contest, scoring five runs in the first three innings. The Setters bats woke up late as they posted three runs in the eight, but at that point, the deficit was too large to overcome as the Setters fell 10-3 in the opening game of the twin-bill.
  • In the second game of the day, the Setters fell behind early on again trailing 4-1, after three innings of play. Despite a late push in the fifth, the Blue and Gold failed to make up the ground against the Ravens, dropping the seven-inning affair, 5-2.
