PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – On Sunday afternoon, Pace baseball hosted a doubleheader at Peter X. Finnerty Field against the Mavericks of Mercy University. The Setters earned two wins on the day, sweeping the match-up by taking game one, 8-0, and game two, 6-2.
The twin-bill sweep helps Pace return to .500 on the season as they take a 5-5 overall record into week two of March.

Trailing by one run, 2-1, the Setters manufacture a run later in the inning with an RBI single from Sweppenhiser. Heading into the sixth, the score was all square, 2-2.
- In the next inning, Pace's first two batters reached base, leading to a prime opportunity to claim the lead over Mercy. Following a wild pitch, Matthew Franco delivered a searing shot down the left field line for a two-run double.
- Two batters later, Luke Rivara recorded his third RBI of the day with a single through the ride side, giving the Setters a 6-2 lead before the innings end.
