PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace baseball welcomed Saint Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) to Peter X. Finnerty Field on Wednesday for an out-of-conference match-up. In the meeting, the Setters cruised past the Spartans coming away with a 7-2 victory on their home field.

Here's What Happened
- The Setters capitalized early on in the first with a Mason Baronian groundout that led to a 1-0 lead for the home squad. Following the first-run inning, both offenses stayed quiet until a breakout fifth inning from Pace.
- Led primarily by a two-run double from Brayden Sweppenhiser, the Setters posted four runs in the fifth to snag a 5-0 advantage over STAC.
- In the seventh, the Setters tacked on two more runs behind a triple from Anthony Labita and then a sacrifice fly from Baronian. Seven runs on the board for the home team was enough to fend off the Spartans as Pace's earned their eighth win of the 2025 season.
