Tray Alexander tallied a season-high 35 points to lead the Setters past the Hawks by a final score of 94-84.
The win helps improve the Blue and Gold's record to 22-5 overall, and 14-5 in the NE10.
Here's What Happened
- To kick off the game, Trey Boyd III and Alexander tallied the first two buckets jumpstarting both of their outstanding performances. After ten minutes of play, Pace held an 11-point advantage, 25-14 as they continued to pour on the early buckets.
- Closing out the opening half, the Setters built a 48-32 lead over Saint Anselm led by 17 first-half points from Alexander.
- The Hawks responded out of the locker room trimming Pace's lead to seven points, 50-43, just four minutes into the second half. Despite their excellent run, the Hawks never cut the deficit below six points the rest of the way.
- Field goals continued to fall all over the court for the Setters as they cruised down the final stretch securing the 94-84 victory in their final regular season home contest.
- Highlighting the win, Alexander followed up his 17-point first half with 18 in the second solidifying his new career high on a senior day.
