SARASOTA, FL. – Sophie Greko represented Pace University on the national stage this weekend, competing at the CSCAA (College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association) College National Open Water Championship at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. The Moline, IL. native showcased her skills as a member of the Blue and Gold finishing in 27th among division II competitors while becoming the first ever Pace qualifier in the event.
Facing a large and highly competitive collegiate field, Greko took on the demanding open water course that tests both physical endurance and mental toughness. The championship environment provided a unique challenge as Greko completed the race with determination, gaining valuable experience against top-distance swimmers from across the country.
Her effort reflects the commitment and resilience she brings to every competition while representing the Blue and Gold. The national-level meet adds important experience to Greko's season and serves as a strong developmental opportunity as she continues her senior season with the Setters.
