Pace Men's Soccer Finishes First Season Back in Over Three Decades Against Adelphi

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – For the first time since 1990, Pace University Men's Soccer completed a full competitive season, closing out its historic return on Wednesday night at Northwell Stadium. In their season finale, the Setters fell 3-0 to Adelphi University, finishing the campaign with a 6-9-3 overall record and a 1-6-2 mark in Northeast 10 (NE10) play. Though the final result was not in their favor, the night capped a year that marked the program's long-awaited comeback after 35 years away from competition.

Pace came out energized in front of its home crowd, creating early chances through Ervin Radoncic and Daniel Santos. Despite the strong start, Adelphi opened the scoring in the 12th minute and converted a penalty in the 29th to take a 2-0 lead. The Setters continued to fight forward before halftime, with Radoncic, Alexander Dutra, and Thomas Lyden each pushing into the attacking third and testing the Panthers' defense.

In the second half, Pace worked to stay within striking distance. Freshman goalkeeper Khais Milligan recorded four saves and helped steady the back line, while Radoncic led the Setters with four shots on the night. Adelphi added a third goal in the 72nd minute, but Pace continued to push until the final whistle, earning late opportunities and maintaining pressure upfield.

With the match complete, Pace officially closed out its first season back in competition in 35 years, setting a new starting point for the program moving forward.
