MANCHESTER, N.H. – In the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, No. 6 seed Pace came up short in a 3–1 road battle against No. 3 Saint Anselm College on Tuesday afternoon. A strong effort in the second half wasn't enough to erase an early deficit, bringing the 2025 season to a close for the Blue and Gold.
Saint Anselm struck first just under 10 minutes into the opening quarter to take a 1–0 lead. Pace settled in defensively, with
Morgan Strecker turning away multiple shots to keep the game within reach at the end of the first.
The Hawks doubled their advantage early in the third quarter, capitalizing on a loose ball in front of the goal to make it 2–0. Pace responded quickly. In the 37th minute,
Grace Francis collected a rebound inside the circle and buried it for her second goal of the season, cutting the deficit to 2–1.
Momentum appeared to shift, but Saint Anselm answered back midway through the fourth quarter to go ahead 3–1. Pace continued to press forward, generating late chances from
Feline Rook,
Anne Kopec, and
Carlotta Oschmann, but time ran out before an equalizer could materialize.
Field Hockey finishes the season 8–11 after earning its way back into the NE10 playoffs. From record-setting wins to standout individual performances, the foundation has been strengthened for what comes next.
