Volleyball Concludes 2025 Campaign on Senior Day against AIC

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Pace University Women's Volleyball closed out its 2025 campaign on Saturday afternoon, hosting American International inside the Goldstein Fitness Center for Senior Day in front of a spirited Blue and Gold crowd. The Setters (10–11, 2–7 NE10) battled throughout the four-set contest but ultimately fell to the Yellow Jackets, 25–16, 18–25, 25–21, 25–14, in their final match of the year

From the opening serve, the Setters leaned on the energy of the home gym and their senior honorees, looking to cap the year with one more statement performance. Pace traded early points behind strong attacking from Skyler Tennant, who opened her standout afternoon with several sharp swings from the right side, while Cyanna Shirley added a pair of early kills to keep the Blue and Gold close. Despite the push, AIC pieced together a late run to take the first set.

The Setters responded with one of their most complete frames of the day in the second. The Blue and Gold offense came alive behind the connection between Camila Rodriguez and Tennant, who delivered six kills in the set alone. Aralyn Saulys added two key service aces, while libero Alice Bender steadied the back row with timely digs. A 7–2 run midway through the set swung full momentum to Pace, and the Setters closed it out 25–18 to even the match.

Set three once again showcased the fight that has defined the team throughout the season. Rodriguez continued distributing efficiently, finishing with 15 assists in the frame, while Kadence Ackmann added crucial swings from the middle. McKenzie Eddington and Emily Cineus each contributed important blocks as the Blue and Gold stayed within striking distance. Despite the surge, AIC edged ahead late to reclaim the lead.

In the fourth, the Setters kept battling behind Bender's defensive efforts and another series of powerful swings from Tennant—who closed her afternoon with a team-high 14 kills—but the Yellow Jackets' offense found a late rhythm and secured the match.

On a meaningful Senior Day, Pace celebrated the careers and contributions of its graduating student-athletes, honoring their leadership, resilience, and commitment to the program before first serve. Surrounded by teammates, coaches, and supporters, the senior class received a warm sendoff as the Setters closed the book on the 2025 season.

The Blue and Gold finish their year at 10-11 overall and 2-7 in Northeast 10 play, showing growth, depth, and competitive fire throughout the fall. With a strong core returning and the development shown across the roster, the Setters now look ahead with optimism as preparations begin for 2026.
