PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pace University Women's Swimming and Diving delivered a historic day in the pool, sweeping their double dual meet against Assumption University and Mount Saint Mary College (MSMC) while scoring a program-record 232 points, the highest meet total in program history. With two more victories in the books, the Setters improve to an impressive 6-0 this season.
The Setters opened competition with a win in the 200 Medley Relay (1:54.60), led by
Eugenia Morossi,
Sydney Albers,
Kathryn Zhenilenko, and
Caroline McKay.
McKay powered Pace with victories in both the 1000 Free (11:17.73) and 50 Free (25.29), while Morossi added wins in the 200 Free (1:57.93) and 200 Back (2:04.69).
Freshman standout
Kathryn Zhenilenko continued her impressive season, sweeping the butterfly events with first-place finishes in the 200 Fly (2:17.97) and 100 Fly (1:02.26).
Sophie Greko secured two titles of her own in the 500 Free (5:38.18) and 200 IM (2:21.65). Pace continued to dominate the sprints, finishing 1–2 in the 100 Free with
Alexei Vinson (56.53) and Jeannie Donlevy (56.79).
On the boards,
Caroline Ranno swept both diving events, winning the 6-dive (231.53) and 5-dive (177.75) competitions.
The Setters sealed their record-setting day with a victory in the 200 Free Relay (1:42.97) behind McKay, Greko, Morossi, and Donlevy, marking one of the most complete performances in program history.
All-around, it was a memorable night for the Blue and Gold, who will look to ride their momentum into their next dual meet on December 5
th at 4:00 p.m. against Southern Connecticut State University.
