Field Hockey Posts Shutout at Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H. – Pace University Field Hockey turned in a dominant effort on Saturday afternoon, earning a 3-0 road victory over Franklin Pierce University in Northeast 10 (NE10) Conference play. The win improves the Setters to 6-8 overall and 5-3 in the NE10.

The Setters struck early when Sydney Sims finished a feed from Kyleigh Kearney just 2:46 into the contest to give Pace a quick lead. The Blue and Gold continued to control play throughout the first half, outshooting the Ravens 17-3 before Enya Manzanera doubled the advantage in the 17th minute off a setup from Romy Manditsera.

Pace extended its advantage early in the third quarter as Feline Rook buried a penalty-corner chance assisted by Molly Paterson, capping the scoring at 3–0. Morgan Strecker made four saves in goal to lead a strong defensive performance, while Caitlyn Zabko closed out the final minutes in the cage. The Setters dominated both sides of the field, holding a commanding 24-13 edge in shots and a 20-4 margin in shots on goal.

Pace Field Hockey returns home on Wednesday, October 22, when the Setters host Southern New Hampshire University in another NE10 match-up. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
