PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The No. 1 Pace University women's lacrosse team took care of business at Northwell Stadium, dismantling Franklin Pierce University, 23-8, Saturday afternoon.
The Setters stay perfect, improving to 6-0 overall on the year, and will turn their attention to hosting No. 4 East Stroudsburg University on Saturday at 12 p.m.
Pace took control of the game right away, scoring 11 goals in the first quarter thanks to a combined arms attack led by
Angelina Porcello and
Sydney Juvelier who netted three goals each while
Maddie Schubert added two, and
Nikki Mottes,
Annie Sheehan, and
Margaret Flocco each added one.
The game was put well and truly out of reach in the second quarter with four more goals to take a 15-4 lead into the halftime break. Six more goals were put on the board in favor of the Setters in the third quarter.
In the final quarter, one game after collecting her first career points off a pair of assists,
Delilah Doyle got the elusive first career goal she was looking for.
Schubert finished with a game-high five goals while Porcello was right behind her with four, and two assists and seven draw controls.
Alexandra Quinn also hauled in seven draw controls while causing four turnovers.
