DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Pace University baseball team shined at the plate Sunday afternoon against Mercy University, grabbing an 8-4 road win in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. Following the victory, the Setters even their record at 4-4 for the season.  
After Mercy snagged a one-run lead in the first, the Setters came back with an RBI single from Matthew Rinaldi in the top of the second to even the game at 1-1.  
Following another one-run inning from the Mavericks in the second, The Blue and Gold answered with a two-run double from Cristian Rodriguez to take a 3-2 advantage into the fourth.  
Pace took control of the contest in the inning, driving home five runs to give them an 8-2 lead. Dylan Koch, Anthony Labita, and Mason Baronian all tallied an RBI in the inning while Rodriguez added two more to his stat line. Mercy added two runs in the next two innings, but it was enough as the Setters captured their fourth win of the year, 8-4.  
Sean Costello pitched four innings for Pace striking out four batters while only allowing one earned run. Brian Espinal secured a three inning save on the day.  
At the plate, the Blue and Gold were led by Rodriguez's four RBI's in his 2-for-5 performance. Rinaldi provided three hits in the lead-off spot while Koch knocked two hits; both supplied an RBI.  
Pace returns to the diamond on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. for a home game against Dominican University of New York.
