WATERBURY, CONN. – The Pace women's soccer team finished concluded the Post University Classic with a 2-0 win over the host, Post.
Pace improves to 2-0 on the season with the next match set for September 6 against Georgian Court at 4 p.m.
The scoring was kicked off by
Andrea Flores (Port Chester, N.Y./Port Chester), who netted her second goal of the season off assists from Kelly Dubois and
Alexis Lee (Staten Island, N.Y./Saint Joseph by the Sea) in the 30
th minute.
An insurance goal was added by
Ava Viebrock (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./John Jay Senior) in the 57 minute thanks to the first assist for the season from
Jillian Joe (Brookeville, Md./Our Lady of Good Counsel).
In the net,
Anna Fiore (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn) presided over 90 minutes of shutout soccer.
The Setters as a team where able to fire off 25 shots with 10 being on target while only allowing Post to take seven shots with none being on target.
