Baseball Falls to St. Cloud State in Spring Break Finale

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Pace University baseball team dropped its final spring break game Wednesday, March 15, falling 10-1 to St. Cloud State University.

The Huskies (8-7) jumped out to an early lead, putting up four runs in the opening inning, capped off by a two-run homer from Drew Bulson.

St. Cloud State continued to tack on runs throughout, scoring in each of the first four innings to go up by a 9-0 score.

Pace (10-2) had multiple runners on base in the first two innings but was unable to push a run across. The Setters managed to get one home in the top of the fifth, but the Huskies answered back with runs in the sixth and eighth, with Bulson finishing off the scoring with his second home run of the day.

Freshman outfielder Justin Crispino (Commack, N.Y./Commack) recorded the first two hits of his collegiate career and scored the Setters' run.

Pace now returns home to kick off a four-game weekend series with Mercy College. The first game is a single game Friday, March 17 at 1:30 p.m.
