MANSFIELD, MASS -- Following strong individual performances on homecoming, Jalen Johnson and Tyreek Smith earned spots on the Northeast 10 Football Honor Roll this week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Smith started the game with a bang, taking the opening kickoff back 100 yards for a touchdown. On his other return of the game, he broke away for 31 yards to help set up the Pace offense.

As for Johnson, the defensive back was all over the field, recording two tackles but also intercepting a pass and recovering a fumble. In the second quarter, Johnson leaped and intercepted a pass in the endzone to preserve the 14-7 lead that Pace held at the time. In the fourth quarter, Johnson once again made his presence felt, recoving a fumble off a completed pass at around midfield to give Pace one more chance in regulation.

The Pace football team returns to action this weekend with a trip to Manchester, NH for a meeting with Saint Anselm College.
