PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Beginning the final week of the regular season, the Pace University baseball team tallied a 15-3 win over AIC on Tuesday night. The decisive triumph improves the Setters' record to 22-17 overall and 10-10 and in the NE10.
A three-run home run in the second inning from senior
Andrew Primm (Massapequa Park, N.Y./Massapequa) set the tone for Pace.
The Blue and Gold followed that up with three more runs in the third inning and five in the seventh. Pace reached double figures in runs for the ninth time this season.
Primm finished the game 3-for-4 with four runs scored and a walk.
Luke Jacobi (Edison, N.J./JP Stevens) and
Matthew Rinaldi (Scarsdale, N.Y./Eastchester) each went 2-for-4 with a combined four runs scored and four RBIs.
Collectively, the Setters piled up 13 hits and eight walks in the game.
On the mound, a total of six Pace pitchers allowed just three runs on five hits.
