PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Led by seven different goal-scorers, the 15
th-ranked Pace University women's lacrosse team earned a 17-10 win over Franklin Pierce on Saturday afternoon. The decisive victory pushes the Setters' record to 11-4 this season, including 8-3 in the NE10.
Coming off a 12-0 start against AIC, the Blue and Gold rattled off a 9-1 stretch to begin the game on Saturday.
The Setters' lead would go on to grow as high as 16-2 early in the third quarter.
Junior
Sydney Juvelier (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) led the way with a game-high four goals, while
Jolie Urraro (Sayville, N.Y./Connetquot),
Kayla Conway (Wantagh, N.Y./Wantagh) and
Angelina Porcello (Eastchester, NY/Eastchester) all finished with hat tricks.
Other multiple point-scorers for Pace included
Aleya Corretjer (Thiells, N.Y./North Rockland) with a goal and two assists,
Alexandra Quinn (Eastport, NY/Eastport South Manor) with two goals and
Margaret Flocco (Patterson, NY/Carmel) with a pair of assists.
Senior
Sienna Masullo (Mount Sinai, N.Y./Mount Sinai School District) earned the win in net following six saves across the full 60 minutes.
