PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing their final match of the 2021 season, the Pace University volleyball team tallied a 3-0 win (25-18, 25-20, 25-17) over Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon.
The duo of
Cydney Gardner (Snellville, Ga./Brookwood) and
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) led the Setter attack, combining for 27 of Pace's 46 kills. They also each posted hitting percentages over .300, in addition to adding three blocks, two aces and three digs.
Sophomore
Jada Screen (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett) supplemented the Pace offense with five kills, while senior Leondarda Uljic dished out a team-high 20 assists.
Uljic also added a team-best four aces to go along with four digs. Sophomore
Stephanie Sicilian (White Plains, N.Y./Valhalla) joined in the passing efforts with 10 assists of her own.
Defensively, senior
Emily Cockell (Springfield, Mo./Kickapoo) picked up a team-high 17 digs. She also finished her final match with seven assists and a service ace.
Freshman
Abby Robertson (Solana Beach, Calif. /Westview) was huge on the defensive side of the ball for the Blue and Gold. The California native racked up a season-high six block assists.
