Late Goal Leads Pace Women's Soccer to Dramatic 1-0 Win over AIC

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – In the first of two NE10 contests across the next three days, the Pace University women's soccer team pulled out a dramatic 1-0 win over AIC on Saturday night. The victory pushes the Setters' record to 6-6-3 this season (4-5-3 NE10).

On a night when the Setters celebrated their Senior Day, it was a freshman that provided the heroics. Allison Carr (Plantsville, Conn./Southington) rocketed in Pace's game-winner in the 88th minute to help secure the thrilling 1-0 victory.

Carr and senior Carolina Ivanov (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) are now tied for the team lead with five goals this season.

Junior Patsy Ceseretti (Barrington, R.I./Northfield Mount Hermon) and freshman Annabella Cole (Selden, N.Y./St. Anthony's) split the shutout in net. Ceseretti registered five saves, while Cole tallied a pair of stops.
