PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Continuing a stretch of eight games across six days, the Pace University baseball team was defeated by Bloomfield College on Monday by a score of 6-1. The loss shifts the Setters' record to 3-4 during the early season.
Sophomore 
Mitchell McCabe (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford/ Bridgton Academy) recorded Pace's lone RBI in the seventh inning, knocking in 
Matt Almonte (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) with a single. Almonte reached on a base hit of his own, leading off the inning as a pinch hitter.  
Junior 
Greg Tsouprakos (West Islip, N.Y./West Islip) served as the only Setter with multiple hits in the game, finishing 2-for-4 at the dish.
On the mound, Pace had three different pitchers record at least one inning without allowing an earned run. 
Joe Pizzingrillo (Garden City, N.Y./Chaminade), 
Greg Najar (Howell, N.J./Freehold Township) and 
Nelson Arroyo (Washingtonville, N.Y./John S. Burke Catholic) yielded just two hits across 3.2 frames of work.
