Pace Field Hockey Celebrates Senior Day With 4-0 Win Over Frostburg State

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Playing in their final contest of 2019, the Pace University field hockey team registered a 4-0 triumph over Frostburg State on Saturday. The Setters wrapped up their campaign by winning five of their last seven contests.

Fittingly enough on Senior Day, Abby Stucker (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Holy Redeemer) registered her first career assist in the contest. She initiated Brianna Wassmer's (Patchogue, N.Y./Patchogue Medford) first-career goal in the 42nd minute, giving Pace a 2-0 edge.

The Blue and Gold's leading scorer this season, Danielle Merante (Garrison, N.Y./Walter Panas), notched the game's opening tally in the 31st minute. Merante finished the year with 11 goals in her sophomore campaign.

Cienna Bosher (Blackwood, N.J./Highland) put in both of the Setters' final tallies on Saturday. The freshman first found the back of the net unassisted in the third quarter before adding a second goal off a Hannah Wyllie (Guildford, England/George Abbot School) assist in the final frame.

As a whole, the Blue and Gold put together a 20-1 advantage in shots on goal in the contest.
