PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Sparked by a 9-0 run to end the third quarter, the Pace University women's basketball team tallied a 57-41 win over New York Tech on Sunday afternoon. The victory improves the Setters' record to 2-0 this season.
The Blue and Gold's defense told the story on Sunday as they forced 16 turnovers, while limiting the Bears to 16-of-52 (30.8 percent) shooting from the field. New York Tech made just one of its 15 attempts from beyond the three-point line.
Offensively,
Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) and
Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) each put in a team-best 16 points. DelliSanti also chipped in seven rebounds, while they both recorded a steal.
Sophomore point guard
Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) led Pace with four assists, in addition to posting eight points, three rebounds and a steal.
The Setters had 10 different players put in at least one point in the game, and nine pull down at least two rebounds.

The Setters will be back at home next Saturday, welcoming Saint Thomas Aquinas College to town for a 1:30 p.m. start.
