PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Sparked by a 9-0 run to end the third quarter, the Pace University women's basketball team tallied a 57-41 win over New York Tech on Sunday afternoon. The victory improves the Setters' record to 2-0 this season.

The Blue and Gold's defense told the story on Sunday as they forced 16 turnovers, while limiting the Bears to 16-of-52 (30.8 percent) shooting from the field. New York Tech made just one of its 15 attempts from beyond the three-point line.

Offensively, Lauren Schetter (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon High School) and Jackie DelliSanti (Commack, N.Y./Commack) each put in a team-best 16 points. DelliSanti also chipped in seven rebounds, while they both recorded a steal.

Sophomore point guard Lauren Hackett (Commack, N.Y./St. Anthony's) led Pace with four assists, in addition to posting eight points, three rebounds and a steal.

The Setters had 10 different players put in at least one point in the game, and nine pull down at least two rebounds.
