EASTON, Mass. – The Pace University volleyball team was defeated at Stonehill College on Friday night in three sets (25-20, 25-14, 25-11).
The Setters had four players record at least five kills in the contest. Sophomore
Sandra Yang (Bothell, Wash./Edmonds-Woodway) led the way with six putaways, while
Tatjana Calimpong-Burke (Waianae, Hawaii/Iolani),
Mackenzie Byrne (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa), and
Brielle Jones (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla./Palm Beach Gardens) all finished with five kills.
Senior
Samantha Nidini (Houston, Texas/Clearlake) served as Pace's top distributor, finishing the night with a team-best 16 assists. Classmate
Danielle Vaiano (Seaford, N.Y./St. Anthony's) once again led the Setters in digs, totaling 16 across three sets.
Calimpong-Burke also performed well defensively, totaling five blocks.

The Setters begin a three-match home stretch next weekend with matches versus Southern New Hampshire (Friday) and Franklin Pierce (Saturday).
