How it Happened
A red-hot start from SNHU set the tone for the first half and beyond. The Penmen made seven of their first nine shots from the field on the way to building a 21-4 lead over the first six minutes of the game. Pace spent the rest of the first half on the comeback trail, unable to bring the deficit back to single digits. A three-pointer from
Paton Gibbs (Saugerties, NY/Saugerties) put the score at 21-11—the closest it would be for the remainder of the contest.
The Penmen stayed in control in the second half, with the lead eventually growing to a game-high 34 points with 6:58 left in regulation. Pace hung tough, however, closing the contest on a 25-9 run.
Up Next
The Setters will return home for an afternoon contest against Merrimack on Saturday. Pace and the Warriors are set for a 3:30 tip.
