How it Happened
Pace and Saint Anselm played a tight first 15 or so minutes in the first half before the Hawks started to grab momentum. A main reason for the visitors' success was three-point shooting, as they made eight of their first 12 long balls of the game. A 12-3 run—which included a pair of three-balls— over about four minutes in the middle of the first half provided the visitors with a 33-21 lead. The Hawks' advantage would eventually grow to 46-29 at the halftime break.
Saint Anselm continued the red-hot shooting in the second half, putting in seven more threes after the break. The Hawks knocked in consecutive long balls and a jumper out of the locker room to balloon their lead to 54-29. Â
