PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University men's basketball team dropped a 74-40 decision to Northeast-10 Conference leader Le Moyne College Tuesday evening at the Goldstein Fitness Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST HALF
- After some early back-and-forth play, a 10-0 run for the Dolphins gave them a 20-8 lead at the 11:44 mark.
- The Dolphins' lead grew to 18 points after a three by Anthony Richards with 2:53 to go in the half.
- Stan Buzcek tipped one in right before the buzzer to leave Le Moyne on top heading into the locker room, 36-17.
HALFTIME LEADERS
- Graduate student
Christian White (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute / Syracuse University) led the Setters at the break with seven points and a pair of assists.
- Le Moyne's Russell Sangster led all scorers with nine, while Buczek had eight rebounds at the half.
SECOND HALF
- Early in the second half, the Setters went on a 12-3 run, cutting the deficit to 18 with just under 10 minutes to play.
- The Dolphins put the pressure back on the Setters, and finished out the game strong to take the win.
SETTER STATS
- White and sophomore
Ryan Peterson (Wethersfield, CT/St. Thomas More) each finished with nine points.
- White dished out a team-high four assists, while Peterson finished with six boards.
DOLPHIN LEADERS
- Buczek completed a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- Sangster led all scorers with 15 points, while C.J. Asuncion-Byrd was right behind him with 14.

- The Setters take to the road on Saturday, Feb. 11, to visit American International College for NE10 action in Springfield, Mass. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m.
