GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The Pace University volleyball team dropped a 3-0 contest (25-17, 25-22, 25-17) at Adelphi University on Tuesday night in Garden City, N.Y. The Setters move to 1-4 in the NE10 this season, while Adelphi shifts its conference record to 4-1.
Junior
Claudia Fontanet (Bayamon, Puerto Rico/Academia Maria Reina) led the Pace offense, finishing one kill shy of a double-double. Fontanet registered nine putaways and a team-high 17 digs. Senior
Sydney Lecker (Littleton, CO/Chatfield) and
Samantha Nidini (Houston, TX/Clearlake) also put forth solid efforts, combining for 12 kills and 14 digs. Nidini chipped in a team-best 19 assists.
Adelphi was led by McKenna Clawson, who recorded a match-high 11 kills, while Megan Manierski racked up 32 assists.
