Pace Women’s Basketball Leads Coast-to-Coast in Win at Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H. – The Pace University women's basketball team took the lead 24 seconds into Wednesday's matchup against Franklin Pierce University and never looked back, rolling to a 62-51 victory over the Ravens in Northeast-10 Conference play at the Franklin Pierce Fieldhouse. Wednesday's game was originally scheduled to be played Tuesday evening, but was postponed due to inclement weather causing dangerous travel conditions.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- Back-to-back twos for sophomore Alexandra Monteleone (Cold Spring, NY/Haldane) and Senior Kirsten Dodge (Fabius, NY/Fabius-Pompey) pushed the Setters' lead to 6-0, a lead they held until the 5:02 mark when Sarah Middleton scored the Ravens' first two points of the game, adding another after being fouled on the play.

- Later in the period, Franklin Pierce went on an 8-0 stretch, cutting Pace's lead down to just four points with 3:12 left in the third.
- Pace's lead dropped to three points a few moments later, but Svoboda drained a three and Dodge put one off the glass to close out the quarter with a 43-35 lead.

FOURTH QUARTER
- Pace's lead fell back down to five just 38 seconds into the fourth, but an 8-2 run for the Setters put them back on top by 11 with just 5:42 left to play.
