BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Pace University field hockey team battled in a tough contest against No. 1-ranked LIU Post Thursday afternoon at Bethpage Stadium, but a strong second-half run by the Pioneers put the game away, giving the hosts a 4-1 victory in non-conference.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- LIU Post outshot the Setters, 21-10, in the game.
- Pace did not shy away from the top team in the country earning eight penalty corners to LIU Post's seven.
- The Pioneers scored a goal in the first half and added three more in the second half.
- Sophomore
Paige Predmore (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Township) scored the Setters goal at the 61st minute of the game.

- Morcerino, Grace Ilias and Taylor Brodsky each registered an assist.
- Goalkeeper Savannah Cummings made three saves in a little less than 18 minutes of play.

NE-10 PLAY PICKS BACK UP SATURDAY
- Pace returns home on Saturday, Oct. 1, to host Northeast-10 Conference foe Franklin Pierce at Peter X. Finnerty Field at 1 p.m.
- Pace will take to the road for another NE-10 matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 5, when the Setters visit No. 9 American International College. The game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
