- A three by Coleman at the 12:46 mark made it a 12-11 game in favor of the Setters, but another three for Peterson, followed up a layup by junior Bryan Rivers (West Windsor, NJ/Peddie School) after a turnover made it a six-point game.
- A scoring drought of over two minutes for both teams was halted at the 9:33 mark when senior Austin Mofunanya (Englewood, NJ/Dwight Morrow / Lincoln College of NE) drained a long ball, the big man's first three as a Setters, to make it a 20-11 lead for Pace.
- Saint Rose's Jack Jones responded with a three from the right corner, but 60 seconds later, graduate student Christian White (Rochester, NY/Aquinas Institute / Syracuse University) sank a three of his own to put Pace up, 23-14.
- Jones then did it again, hitting a three from the corner the next time down the court to get Saint Rose back within six.
