Damian Mincey Hired as Pace Football Defensive Coordinator

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y.-  Pace Football Head Coach Andrew Rondeau has hired Damian Mincey as his Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach for the 2015 season. Mincey was most recently the Head Football Coach at Capitol Region Education Council school district.
 
Mincey served as the first-ever head football coach for the Capitol Region Education Council School District this past year where he was tasked with running all aspects of the football program. During the 2013 season, he worked for East Coast Prep as the Defensive Coordinator.
 
He worked on the University of Massachusetts football staff from 2006-11, serving in several capacities. Mincey was the Assistant Linebackers Coach in 2006 and 2007, moving up to Linebackers Coach from 2008-10. In 2011, he moved to the offensive side of the ball as the Tight Ends Coach. In his six seasons with the Minutemen, he coached eight Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) All-Conference linebacker as well as the CAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2011. In addition, he also coached a pair of CAA All-Conference Tight Ends in 2011.
 
Mincey is a 2002 graduate of the University of New Haven where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication. He played for the Chargers for four seasons, seeing action on the offensive line for three seasons. He played his final season on the defensive line where he made 14 tackles.
