Margo Hackett dropped in a team-high 18 points but the Setters fell in the final seconds to the Le Moyne Dolphins 63-61 in Northeast-10 Conference action.
The Setters end their season at 12-16 overall and 6-14 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins improve to 16-12 and 10-10 in conference play.
The Setters led from the outset of the game but the Dolphins rallied to pull even at 9-9. Pace pulled ahead with a 9-0 run behind a pair of triples by
Jaclyn Oskam and
Gabriella Rubin to put the Setters up 18-9 with 11:22 left in the half.
Le Moyne rallied, closing to within a point at 20-19 but the Setters pushed ahead to take a 29-23 lead at halftime. Pace was aided by an Oskam trifecta at the 4:30 mark along with lay-ups by Hackett and
Kirsten Dodge.Le Moyne battled back early in the second half as they took a two-point lead at the 13:14 mark. The Setters answered as they retook the lead and extended it to a six point advantage at 49-43 with 8:06 left in the game.
The teams traded leads down the stretch with an Oskam three-point play, giving the Setters a 61-57 lead with 39.3 tick left in the game. Le Moyne converted a four-point with 31 seconds left in the game. Following a Pace missed shot, the Dolphins connected on the go-ahead bucket with 0.7 on the clock.
For the Setters, Hackett led the way in her final collegiate game with 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Oskam finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Rubin and Dodge each netted eight points each.
