PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace Volleyball team fell in the Northeast-10 Conference opener as the Southern Connecticut State Owls downed the Setters 3-1 (21-25, 10-25, 25-18, 23-25).
The Setters fall to 3-7 overall and 0-1 in the NE-10, while the Owls improve to 3-7 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
The Setters were led by junior
Alyssa Marchino who tallied 12 kills along with eight digs and two aces, while freshman
Sydney Lecker added seven kills and a pair of digs. Freshman
Amy Vicic totaled four kills and nine digs, while junior
Sara Anastasi posted 11 assists and five digs. Junior
Rebecca Italiano led the team with 19 digs, while sophomore
Miki Carver added nine assists and eight digs.
The Setters hit the road on Friday, September 26 as they travel to Syracuse, NY for an NE-10 clash against the Le Moyne College Dolphins at 6 pm.
