Baseball Falls to New Haven

PLEASANTVILLE, NY- The Setters were limited to six hits in the game as they fell to the New Haven Chargers 8-0 in Northeast-10 Southwest Division action.

The Setters fall to 6-14 overall and 1-2 in Southwest Division play, while the Chargers improve to 9-8 and 1-3 in the division.

The game was scoreless until the fifth when New Haven plated six in the inning. The Chargers added two more in the sixth as starter Pat Simone went the distance, striking out five.

Pace was held to six hits in the game as David Pepe (Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) (Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) and Andrew Coffey (Greenwich, CT/Old Avon Farms) (Greenwich, CT/Old Avon Farms) both went 2-for-4 in the game. Tim Deegan (Levittown, NY/Kellenberg Memorial) fell to 2-2 on the season as he pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on eight hits and struck out two.

The Setters will host the Mercy Mavericks on Thursday, April 10 at 3:00 pm at Finnerty Field on the Pleasantville campus.
