PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Pace Volleyball team fell to the New Haven Chargers 3-0 (21-25, 12-25, 11-25) in Northeast-10 Conference action on Tuesday night.
The Setters fall to 4-15 overall and 1-6 in the NE-10, while the Chargers improve to 15-5 and 7-1 in conference play.
The Setters held tough in the opening set, playing even early in the match. Pace held leads of 12-7 and 19-17 but the Chargers battled back to tie it and 20, eventually taking the opening set 25-21.
For Pace, junior
Alyssa Marchino led the way with five kills, two blocks and 11 digs, while freshman
Sydney Lecker posted five kills. Junior
Macey Danker tallied four kills and three digs, while sophomore
Samantha Marquez recorded 10 digs for the Setters. Junior
Sara Anastasi added 10 assists, while junior
Brittani Muller contributed four total blocks.
The Setters travel to Southern New Hampshire on Friday, October 24 for an NE-10 match-up starting at 7 pm.
