To go along with double-digit points, Cleary also pulled down six rebounds while Margo Hackett (Pawling, NY/Pawling) (Pawling, NY / Pawling) contributed 13 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals.  Brittany Shields (Cold Spring, NY / Haldane) tallied 13 points and Yuni Sher (Poughkeepsie, NY/Long Island Lutheran) (Poughkeepsie, NY / Long Island Lutheran) finished with ten points and eight rebounds.  Jessica Scannell (Cork, Ireland / St. Vincents) added eight points, six assists and five rebounds for the Setters.

The Setters fell early in the second half but gained momentum on a triple from Cleary that prompted a 16-3 run over the next nine minutes.   The two moments in the game where the Setters held their largest lead of 14 points were on converted baskets made by Sher with less than three minutes to go.  SCSU foul-trouble allowed the Setters to convert on 7-10 free-throws in the final 1:05 of the game and solidify the win.

Hackett allowed the Setters to start the game on a 7-0 run in the first three minutes of the first half.  The Owls would respond with an 8-0 run before the Setters regained ground.  The teams would tie twice before the Owls took their largest lead of the game with 4:07 to go in half, 26-21.  A triple from Scannell and layup from Shields tied the score to go into half 26-26.

The Setters will travel to Saint Rose Saturday, February 16 for a conference matchup with tip-off at 1:30 pm.  The Setters won the first match-up against Saint Rose this season, 62-50 on December 1, 2012.
