Pleasantville, N.Y.- The Pace Setters fall to the Riverhawks of UMass Lowell 2-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference match-up. The Setters drop to 4-5-3 overall and 4-4-1 in the NE-10 while the Riverhawks advance to 4-5-2 overall and 3-5-1 in the conference.
UMass Lowell got on the board early in the first as Keanna Santos scored the first goal for the Riverhawks at 5:09. Taylor Hartmann scored their second and final goal, assisted by Jenna Costa and Julia Donigian, at 41:34 to go two up on the Setters. Courtany Hagen (New Paltz, NY / New Paltz) recorded six saves on 15 shots by the Riverhawks.
The Setters were unable to answer before the end of regulation. UMass Lowell out-shot Pace 24-1 in their winning effort. Both goalies spent all 90 minutes in the net as Courtany Hagen (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz) recorded ten saves and Jane Hatzikonstantis finished with one.
The Setters will play under the lights at Southern Connecticut State University in a conference match-up on Wednesday October 10 at 7 pm.
