Pace Drops NE-10 Game to UMass Lowell

LOWELL, Mass.- The Setters came up short in an Northeast-10 Conference match-up to UMass Lowell 74-60. Pace falls to 8-7 on the season and 6-5 in the NE-10, while the River Hawks improve to 10-5 and 6-5 in conference play.

The River Hawks built a 24-11 lead midway through the opening half but the Setters answered with a 9-2 run. Pace rallied back to pull to within six points at 26-20 with 6:36 left in the half. UMass Lowell closed out the half strong as they took a 35-24 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Setters got as close as nine point early in the half but the River Hawks extended their lead to 18 points midway through the period.  

For Pace, Keon Williams (Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack/Iona College) (Hackensack, N J/Hackensack/Iona College) led the Setters with a game-high 22 points along with eight rebounds. Denzel Primus-Devonish (Riverdale, MD/St. John's) chipped in with 10 points and five steals.

The Setters are back in action on Tuesday, January 17 when Pace will travel to Manchester, NH for a Northeast-10 Conference match-up against Southern New Hampshire University at 7:30 pm.
