Wirchansky was a force to be reckoned with in the season-opener, leading the Setters to their first win of the season in historic fashion. The junior tossed a nine-inning perfect game against Dominican College on Sunday, retiring all 27 batters he faced from the mound. Wirchansky racked up 16 strikeouts, including a string of seven straight punchouts. He was selected as the Northeast-10 Conference's Pitcher of the Week for his dominant start to the season.
