Galarza helped propel the Blue and Gold men to an eighth-place finish at the 2017 ECAC Championships over the weekend, accumulating 205 points for the team across seven events. Swimming against mostly Division I foes, the New Jersey native placed fifth in the 1650-free with a time of 16:39.54, his highest placement of the weekend. Galarza also secured points in the 400-IM, 500-free, and 200-fly, in addition to a trio of relay events (800-free, 400-medley, and 400-free).
