Junior Matthew Kurdewan got off to a strong start as the Setters' new everyday third baseman, batting .444 with three RBIs, two runs scored, and two extra-base hits as Pace swept a two-game series against Bloomfield. He went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's contest, but his only hit proved to be the difference as he knocked in the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI single. Kurdewan then went 3-for-5 on Thursday with a triple, a double, two RBIs and two runs as the Setters rolled to another win. He also slugged .778 for the week.
