PLEASANTVILLE, NY – The Setters host NE-10 rival Adelphi in a one-game playoff to see who will advance to championship weekend. The game will be played at SUNY Purchase in Purchase, N.Y. with first pitch being slotted for 1:00 p.m.

nd when they hosted Le Moyne in a Northeast-10 Southwest Divisional doubleheader. A sweep of the Dolphins would fully guarantee the #1 seed in this week's Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.
Senior
Jonathan Chudy started the first game and was dominant. He surrendered just one earned run during a complete game in which he fanned eight batters. At the plate,
Cory Capaldi tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI groundout in the fourth inning. In the fifth,
Tom Midolo put the Setters up 3-1 with an infield RBI-single. Sophomore
John Kukura stretched the lead to 4-1, the eventual final score, with an RBI-double in the seventh frame.
Kukura went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while
Nick LoBello went 2-for-2 with a run scored and a pair of walks. Bittiger went 2-for-3 with a run scored while Midolo went 1-for-4 with the game's final RBI.
In the late slate, the Setters trailed by one early. After Pace scored on a wild pitch to tie it,
Domenick Luongo put the Setters ahead with an RBI-double in the second inning. Then in the fourth,
Michael Gulino cranked his first collegiate homerun to push the Pace lead to 3-1.
Andrew Coffey also added an RBI-double later that inning. In the seventh, Gulino stretched the lead to 7-2 with an RBI-single to left field. After Pace added a run in the eighth, the Setters won the game 8-6 and clinched the #1 seed in the Northeast-10 Southwest Division.
Gulino went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a homerun, and a pair of RBIs while Coffey went 1-for-4 with two RBIs. Midolo and
Frank Mayo each went 1-for-5, with Mayo adding an RBI.
On the mound, senior
Robert Rizzitelli tossed six innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
Mike Sweeney tossed the seventh innings and held the Dolphins hitless while
Josh Grant picked up the save after tossing the game's final 1.2 innings, allowing one earned run while striking out one.
The Setters:- Midolo ranks 30th in the conference with a team-best .316 batting average. His five homers also leads the Setters and ranks tied for fifth in the NE-10. He has added ten doubles, 24 runs scored, and 19 RBIs.
- Kukura ranks second amongst the Setters with a .315 batting average, adding 24 runs, seven doubles, a homerun, and 17 RBIs. Kukura is also 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts so far this season.
- LoBello holds a .313 batting average while belting ten doubles, scoring 13 runs, and knocking in 18 RBIs.
- Junior Josh Garran ranks ninth in the Northeast-10 Conference with a team-best 2.08 earned run average. He has compiled a 4-2 record in seven starts while striking out 40 batters over 47.2 innings pitched.
- Chudy currently holds a 3.71 ERA and a 4-4 record over 53.1 innings of work. He also leads the Setters with 56 K's. His 9.45 K's per nine innings leads the squad and ranks seventh amongst NE-10 pitchers.
- Junior Dylan Mouzakes has been solid out of the bullpen so far this season. He has compiled a 2-2 record with a 2.34 earned run average in 42.1 innings of work. He has fanned 43 batters so far this season.
The Panthers:- Senior Nick Zito leads the team with a .368 batting average, ranking eighth in the NE-10. He has added 31 runs scored, four homeruns, and 27 RBIs behind 53 hits.
- Sophomore Robert Vani ranked second amongst the Panthers with a .348 batting average, adding 27 runs scored, two homeruns, and 19 RBIs in 37 games this season.
- Junior ace Jonathon Mulford has compiled a 7-0 record in 11 starts so far this season. He has recorded a 1.85 earned run average with 44 strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched.
