Peter X. Finnerty Field

Peter X. Finnerty Field
(Pleasantville Campus)

Located behind the Goldstein Fitness Center on the Pleasantville Campus of Pace University, Peter X. Finnerty Field is the home of the Pace University Baseball and Field Hockey teams.

The field features 2 batting tunnels and a turf soft toss station behind the first base dugout.

The field serves as the home for the field hockey team during the fall season, and the baseball team in the spring. The yellow lines in the outfield turf represent the playing field for field hockey. The fully-functional scoreboard located beyond the right-field fence is capable of providing fans with information for both sports.

The field also includes seating behind home plate and directly in front of the field's brand new press box. There are also bleachers located down the left-field line, and temporary bleachers beyond the center-field wall for field hockey.

Peter X. Finnerty was the founder of the Pace Athletics Department in 1947 and served as the Director of Athletics from 1947-1988. Mr. Finnerty was also the first Pace Baseball Head Coach as he served in this role from 1948-1960. He also coached the men's basketball team from 1948-1964. The field was dedicated in his honor on September 9, 1989.
