PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – For the third consecutive season, the Pace University field hockey team has earned the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division II National Academic Team Award.
Pace finished the fall semester with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.57, which was well above the 3.0 threshold for the honor. In fact, it was just 0.02 less than the fifth-best GPA for all of Division II field hockey. A full list of Academic Team Award winners can be found
HERE.
The Setters had 24 players named to the
2017 Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll for the fall, while
Paige Predmore (Harrisburg, PA/Susquehanna Township) and
Lesly Sanchez Alvarez (Stamford, CT/Stamford) were each named NE10 Academic All-Conference.
On the field, it was a historic 2017 campaign for the Blue and Gold. Led by second-year head coach
Kayte Kinsley, who was named the Synapse National Coach of the Year, Pace racked up a program-record 15 wins and earned the No. 3 seed in its first-ever NE10 Championship Tournament.
